It was a Thanksgiving the Chicago Bears wouldn’t mind forgetting. A defeat at the hands of the NFC North leaderboard toppers, the Detroit Lions, made things grim for Jonathan Owens & Co. However, the football safety still had a reason to smile of his own, thanks to his Olympian wife Simone Biles. Keeping up with her post-Gold Over America Tour tradition, the gymnastics GOAT once again hit the stands to cheer for her NFL star hubby.

Biles had a very hectic 2024. From her goal to compensate for the 2021 Tokyo Games to leading the troops at the second edition of the pop-styled gymnastics show the Houston native had a lot on her plate. Naturally, she barely got the time to spend time with her beloved or follow his progress with his new squad every step of the way. But now that all of these are over, she seems to be in overdrive mode to make up for all the lost opportunities.

In her recent series of Instagram stories, the 7x Olympic gold medalist gymnast shared snippets of her latest trip to Ford Field in Detroit. Accompanied by former Georgia volleyball star Torrie Brown, Biles had quite the blast of a Thanksgiving while the Bears suffered yet another loss just days after their home game misfortune against the Vikings. In her social media update, it could be seen Biles and brown had a chartered flight of their own, and the entire journey looked like one extended party.

Reaching Motown, Biles once again got to meet up with Owens at the sidelines, and irrespective of the pressure the latter was feeling ahead of the big match, he couldn’t help but smile to have his loudest cheerleader at the stadium. The ex-NCAA volleyball star also got to soak in the electrifying atmosphere. And yet, despite the lengths Biles and her pal went to help the Bears feel motivated, the controversial clock management decision by coach Matt Eberflus left everyone shocked at the end of the game.

The Lions won 23-20, but the visitors had the chance to at least draw the game. With only 36 seconds left, the Chicago team was set up on the host’s 36-yeard line, and rookie Caleb Williams tried his best to send the game into overtime. But with things getting tense, Eberflus chose not to make use of the timeout his team had in their pocket, and the Bears missed the opportunity to bounce back. But despite Owens’ loss, Biles made sure to do her part in tonight’s game, as has become the norm in recent weeks.

Simone has been hitting the stands at every Bears match in recent weeks in a desperate attempt to catch up with Owens’ football career. After the Gold Over America Tour ended, the Olympian confessed she was feeling sad about not being in action. But she quickly turned her gaze elsewhere and joined the Chicago fans every time they locked horns with their foes. Biles brought out the big guns: her custom Bears apparel collection to show that she was also ready to get on the fans’ good books. Noticing her efforts, the Chicago loyalists were also ready to forgive the gymnast for her past fumbles. And it’s also given Jonathan something to keep his spirits high.

Biles was also spotted at Soldier Field earlier this week when the Bears hosted the Minnesota squad. Despite the loss, Owens was glad to have his loudest supporter at the arena, and he later took to confess, “Always love having my baby there.” But it looks like Simone’s cheerleading skills aren’t doing much for Eberflus and his boys, who are struggling to come out of their rough patch. When do you foresee the Bears turning things around? Will Simone have any part to play in that? Tell us in a comment!
