Conor McGregor has faced quite a bit of heat from fans and fellow fighters after losing the civil case filed by Nikita Hand. The jury finding him liable to pay more than $250,000 in damages wasn’t the only punishment he received. Also, he got his character out of the video game, Hitman: World of Assassination. On top of that, his whiskey brand, Proper No. 12, quit using him in marketing. With the repercussions of the civil case, Dee Devlin seemed to have enough. She took to social media and lashed out at Hand on social media. This only motivated McGregor to share a sneaky message with his son.

Taking to the Instagram stories, on 26th November, Devlin wrote, “Imagine a WOMAN, with her own boyfriend and child, texting provocative pictures of herself to another woman’s man with a family and child on the way. This woman claims to know me, yet still went ahead and sent messages and pictures of herself over and over to my man? Really? Whilst out on a 3-day bender, texting excuses to her own child at home where mammy is on a Saturday afternoon, Saturday night, Sunday morning, Sunday afternoon, Sunday night night into Monday morning. All the while out of her face in a hotel room, dancing around a hotel carpark. What sort of WOMAN are you!!!” In continuation, she pointed out that her sons would now be warned against women like Hand.

Soon after that, McGregor took to his IG story and reshared a couple of pictures with him and his sons. Pointing at the youngest kid in the family, he wrote, “My big healthy boy.” And the picture showed him holding two of his youngest sons on the deck of his boat. The caption on the picture read, “Someone is turning ONE this week.” ‘The Notorious’ reshared another picture that showed him with his 4th son Mack. The text below this picture read, “I’ll be damned if we let the toothless townsfolk with their pitchforks ruin it.”

In order to protect his family, the ‘Mystic Mac’ had to prove himself innocent. And for that, the first step was to appeal to the court.

After the jury decided against him, Conor McGregor was visibly upset. Even though he wasn’t found guilty, the accusations were pretty harsh and managed to tarnish his public image. With a heartbroken mind, he took to X and shared, “I will be appealing today’s decision. The judge’s instruction and the modest award given was for assault, not for aggravated or exemplary damages.”

He further expressed his disappointment at the jury’s decision. McGregor continued, “I am disappointed that the jury did not hear all the evidence that the DPP [Director of Public Prosecutions] reviewed. I am with my family now, focused on my future. Thank you to all my support worldwide.”

As far as his stance with the UFC is concerned, one of Daily Mail’s sources claimed that it would take a bit of time, but the ‘Mystic Mac’ would surely return. And that’s exactly what McGregor has planned. Focused on returning to the Octagon in 2025, he has entered his last training camp. But would this depend on the court’s decision regarding his appeal? Well, that remains to be seen.
