Simone Biles is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars that the modern-day sports realm has witnessed. After being down and out in Tokyo, very few people gave Biles a chance. However, with utter grit and determination, Biles was able to finally remove her ‘quitter’ tag as she took the Paris Olympics by surprise. The US gymnastics GOAT won three gold medals and a silver to establish herself as the undisputed queen of gymnastics. 

Well, Biles surely did achieve all of the above. But playing a crucial role from behind was her husband, Jonathan Owens. The Chicago Bears’ safety had been phenomenal in providing much-needed mental support to Biles. At a time when the gymnastics GOAT lacked self-belief, Owens’ support did a world of good to bring back the lost confidence of Simone Biles. 

Owens also went to the extent of tricking the Chicago Bears to let him catch Simone Biles live in action at the Paris Olympics. Thus, it is very unlikely that Biles will forget all of these now when she is back on her path of glory. And she is leaving no stone unturned in returning the favor. Whenever she gets time out from her hectic schedule, Biles flies to Owens to spend quality time with her husband. She also makes sure that she is present at Owens’ NFL games, cheering on top of her voice. 

Recently, in an interview with ET Online, Biles and Snoop Dogg appeared to discuss their latest The Voice collab. During their conversation, the topic of Jonathan Owens came up. Narrating Biles’ love for her husband, a heartwarming video played while the voice in the background stated, “When she’s not busy working, the 27-year-old gymnast is busy cheering on her husband who plays for the Chicago Bears, Jonathan Owens.

Next up, the host asked about a recent incident when NBC tagged Biles on their X post after Owens scored for the Bears. Getting candid about the incident, Biles stated, “NBC tweeted you after Jonathan scored. I am a little confused about football still, so l’m like, OK, where is he? Is he on yet? And I’m like, oh, there he is. He’s so cute.” Surely, while Biles enjoys cheering for her husband, Owens has been turning into a ‘gymnastics guy’.

When the duo first crossed paths, Jonathan Owens was least bothered about gymnastics. However, as the days went by, Owens slowly took a liking to the sport. Back in Paris, the Bears’ star was spotted taking down notes and calculating the points from each of Biles’ routines. And not only that, Owens has also tried some fun gymnastics activities with Biles. In one instance, the NFL star tried to imitate Biles’ routines, which he failed miserably. 

Next up, the couple participated in a rope climb race for a documentary. He is also bringing in the gymnastics flair in the NFL. In a recent game, after Owens scored a forced fumble, he celebrated by running to the end zone and performing a gymnastics-style salute. Thus, with support coming from either end, Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens surely are one of the biggest power couples in sports at the moment.
