Ryan Garcia, former interim WBC lightweight champion, is still serving his one-year suspension, yet he already has big plans for his professional return. The 26-year-old is set to return to the squared circle in an exhibition match on December 30th against the Japanese kickboxing star, Rukiya Anpo, as part of the upcoming Rizin event.

However, it looks like the Victorville native has another exhibition match lined up after this that might break all the records. A week ago, Garcia took to his ‘X’ to announce his plans before his “actual return to the ring” which involved the fight against Anpo and a subsequent challenge to Jake Paul, to avenge the loss Paul dealt to Mike Tyson. The 24-1 boxer, during a recent press event, talked to FightHype TV, where he revealed his view on The Problem Child and why he thinks the fight between them can achieve “crazy” numbers.

The interviewer from FightHype mentioned to Ryan Garcia that even though Paul has not acknowledged his challenge, the boxing fraternity thinks it would be an easy win for Garcia. Surprisingly, ‘KingRy’ remained grounded and praised El Gallo for everything he has achieved so far in boxing. He stated, “I mean you could clearly see that he hasn’t been boxing for much long. But it is amazing that he is doing such big events,” referring to the Mike Tyson bout.

The Victorville native accepted the fact that the majority of the charm of that event was the return of Tyson and not Jake Paul. However, “it’s no secret that Jake can pull numbers.” According to Garcia, “A lot of boxers are just like licking their chops. You know, we work hard to make money and we see this as an opportunity to make some good cash,” making Paul an ideal fight for any pure boxer to earn a huge payday.

Garcia also described the 27-year-old as a “low risk” fight because it would be a huge payday with less chance of being embarrassed. “As far as boxing against you know established boxer that’s in this game. He doesn’t establish like a risk to get knocked out,” stated Garcia, explaining that even though Jake Paul might beat you, there is a very low chance of getting seriously hurt.

However, it is not just a huge payday that has attracted Ryan Garcia. The Victorville native thinks that this fight has the potential to make several records in terms of pay-per-view buys.
