The most important holiday of the year is here. It’s Thanksgiving and moms are rushing to make last-minute arrangements. It’s not easy as the whole family will be coming together and everything has to be perfect. And for Andy Roddick’s wife, Brooklyn Decker, things are no different. She wants to leave no stone unturned in welcoming their family for a Thanksgiving meal!
It’s just one day in a year, when the whole family meets, greets, and eats turkey. Though some might do it whenever they get time, it’s not Thanksgiving every day. But that’s what makes the day special! Roddick’s wife, just like any other mom, wants things to be in order. The American model and actress shared a relatable video clip on her Instagram stories, with the pov: “All moms this week.”
In the video shared, Brooklyn is seen with her hands full of vacuum cleaners, as she shouts orders for the members of the house: her kids and maybe husband! She can be heard saying, “Now, now people, I want this place looking like Disney on ice in one minute. Hurry up! … If you haven’t made your bed, throw it away, it’s too late to make it now… get rid of the couches…” and the saga goes on. The mother of 2, captioned this video with hilarious (might be true) words, “I’m a monster!”

While the Roddick-Decker household gets ready for Thanksgiving evening, let’s revisit their love story. It’s an interesting one. The 2003 US Open champion got to know about his future wife through a football-related show on Sports Illustrated that she hosted. But, the model and actress found him shady to start with. During an interview with the Tennis Channel in 2017, Decker said, “I was hosting a show about football on Sports Illustrated and he watched it every week. He got his attorney to call my agent at the time and I thought it was very shady as one would, and I didn’t call him back for five months.”

She further added, “I was living in New York at the time and my now-manager said to me ‘You know, you have no friends, all your friends are in North Carolina’, and he said ‘Why don’t you call him, he’s really nice. I googled him and watched his press conference from the 07’ Australian Open, where he was just super dry and sarcastic. I thought ‘Well that’s pretty funny, looks like a charmer’, and I called him back and we’ve been together ever since.” They became a couple and got married in 2009.
Thanksgiving is a day to reminisce about all the lovely, embarrassing, and beautiful memories of loved ones. Let’s travel to Andy Roddick’s favorite Wimbledon memory featuring his wife that he once shared on his podcast.

When his wife turned a regular walk into a surreal one for Andy Roddick
Back in June, during the Grass Swing, the former World No.1 reminisced about his Wimbledon experience. Andy Roddick picked a page from his tennis diary as he shared a behind-the-scene moment with his wife when he walked to the center court with Brooklyn beside him. However, it was not during the matches, but on one of the fateful days when the Wimbledon court was made public for a short period.
He said, “I got to take Brooke (Brooklyn), my wife, there to have a meal with the chairman. And the walk that I’ve made a million times, from the locker room to the center court where you’re walking through a club… she got to see. The walk that you do when you play in a final. We got to make that walk together, which was really cool. And I think it was a cool experience for her as well. I loved that day.” It must have been a memorable experience for the couple.
