Carmelo Anthony recently dropped a collaboration with DoorDash to promote 1800 Tequila, and fans couldn’t be more excited. In the promotional video, Melo shared his love for the tequila and encouraged his followers to spread the holiday cheer by gifting a bottle to their loved ones. One of the lucky names on his personal holiday list was WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu. While fans are still finalizing their gift lists, Melo has already begun giving holiday gifts to some of his favorite stars and has got special gift recommendations to offer.

“Look at this my friends, a 1800 Tequila that Carmelo Anthony sent me,” Ionescu stated in the video posted recently on Instagram on Tuesday. In the video Sab can be seen unboxing the bottle of 1800 Tequila, taking out a glass, and pouring her some of the smooth drink. She has also tagged the brand and the former Denver Nuggets star while captioning the snippet with a “Thank you.”

1800 Tequila had partnered up with DoorDash which is a food delivery app. The collab with the $74.4 billion company must have played its role here as the bag from which the New York Liberty star took out the bottle had the same orange color as DoorDash and also its logo. The food delivery partner was the go-to choice for the 40-year-old probably because of the 450,000 merchants it has partnered up with and has reached an overall 20 million consumers.

While Sab did pour herself a drink, she would have also kept the bottle for her husband Hroniss Grasu, whom she had tagged as “tequila-loving husband,” in a post on his birthday. “Happy birthday to my sweet, kind, tequila-loving husband… I love you!,” the NY Liberty star had posted in August. And certainly, 1800 Tequila is meant for gifting as stated by Melo.

Anthony forged his own path when he decided to introduce his tequila brand VII(N) The Seventh Estate in 2022 alongside co-founder Asani Swann. Owing to his brand image, Proximo Spirits-owned 1800 Tequila tapped into Anthony’s target audience to give their brand a blockbuster number this festive season. For that, they released a video with Melo enjoying the fine drink.

“Let’s send them something special this year,” Melo said in the video hinting at the spirit of giving during the holiday season. Plus the brand has launched three new flavors to give their users a wider range of exquisite notes. In the same video, Melo also expressed that he would be giving the newly launched flavors to “Send Denis (Bouanga) one. Send Sabrina one. And the Chef one, too.” The video was captioned as “@1800Tequila, Taste Worth Sharing this Holiday Season. Please drink responsibly. @Doordash #ad #21+.”
