One notable instance was his close race with Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles in a 50m sprint a couple of weeks ago.

Despite being a novice, Speed held his own against the seasoned athlete, earning praise from fans and critics alike. However, when asked about the hardest sport he has trained for, Speed’s response might come as a surprise. Despite his grueling experience in the track and field event against Lyles, Speed revealed that another sport has proven to be an even greater challenge for him.

IShowSpeed opens up about his toughest sporting experience

In a recent appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast, IShowSpeed shared his thoughts on the hardest sport he has trained for to compete. When Shannon Sharpe asked if boxing was the most difficult, Speed responded candidly, “I’m gonna be honest. Yeah Cuz, like, I learned a few stuff, but once you are in the ring, you just rely on natural instinct.”

Speed’s comments highlight the unique challenges of boxing, where athletes must rely on instinct and quick reflexes to succeed while getting punched in the face. Further emphasizing the importance of getting used to the feel of being in the ring, IShowSpeed explained, “So, I feel like for boxing, the best you could do is get your cardio up and get enough sparring matches as you can, just to get used to the feel. And once I get used to the feel, I got it.”

Trouble finding opponent for boxing debut

From sparring legend Manny Pacquiao and KSI to calling out Jake Paul, IShowSpeed is not new to the sport of sweet science. Nonetheless, he has yet to make his official boxing debut in a sanctioned or exhibition match. However, the 19-year-old viral sensation reveals it has become difficult to secure an opponent.

In the same podcast episode, when Shannon Sharpe asked him about a potential celebrity boxing match, Speed stated: “I will, but again, nobody wants to box me. No content creator wants to box me [Kai Cenat] doesn’t want to box me. Nobody wants to box me, nobody. No content creator, no streamer out there, they’re like ‘No Speed’… Cuz they know like that I can really do this That’s why I haven’t had a boxing match yet.”
