Conor McGregor has attracted quite a bit of attention from the fighting community because of his recent legal troubles. When the jury found him liable to pay Nikita Hand in damages, fight fans began hurling insults at the former UFC double champion. As an insult to the ‘Mystic Mac’, a crypto coin was created by the name of “$CONVICT”. The tweet that announced the supposed new cryptocurrency via @convictmcg read, “The convict project will donate towards the legal fees of the victims of Convict McGregor. Support the movement.”

Soon after the movement was announced, Khabib Nurmagomedov went online and took a jibe at the ‘Mystic Mac’ using this post. Replying to @convictmvg’s X post, the former Dagestani champ wrote, “Good job guys, you have my full support, this guy deserve punishment.” Well, Nurmagomedov was certainly itching to get one in against McGregor, don’t you think?

What’s your perspective on:

Did Khabib's crypto jab at McGregor hit the mark, or was it just a cheap shot?

Have an interesting take?

Next up, let’s focus on the interaction between Donald Trump and Michael Chandler. What exactly did the POTUS say to the former Bellator FC champ at UFC 309?

Michael Chandler reveals what Donald Trump said to him at UFC 309

While the world was pretty pumped up to see ‘Iron’ clash with Charles Oliveira, not many expected the fight to go for all 5 rounds. Following the fight, Chandler had a brief interaction with the President of the United States. But what the POTUS told the #7 lightweight contender was a mystery until Ariel Helwani decided to ask Chandler about it. He replied, “He just shook my hand and said great fight, you know. Heck of a performance. And when he whispered in my ears, he just said, ‘You are one bad man.’”

The credit indeed went to the final round. It was pretty crazy with Chandler dropping down on his back while Oliveira stuck to his back with his hands on ‘Iron’s neck. Chandler continued, “You know, and I think obviously, recency bias would tell you that was the 5th round speaking into my ear, you know. Because the 1st 4 rounds weren’t great, if I’m being honest.”

Now, it’s time for us to look at the state of affairs in the bantamweight division. You guessed it! It’s all about Merab Dvalishvili’s message for Umar Nurmagomedov

Merab Dvalishvili bashes Umar Nurmagomedov via a skit

In an absolutely funny skit, the bantamweight champ played the character of ‘Professor Dvalishvili’ and compared Petr Yan with Nurmagomedov. He began, “So we have Merab. What a handsome guy. The current champion. He has 11-fight win streak and has beat 4- yes, I said 4 – ranked and still active former UFC champion. Jose Aldo, Petr Yan, Henry Cejudo, and Sean O’Malley. Then we have former champion Petr Yan who has beat top-ranked opponents. Deiveson Figueiredo, Song Yadong, I can even give him Sean O’Malley, Cory Sandhagen, and ‘King of Rio’ Jose Aldo.”

But the same couldn’t be said for Nurmagomedov. Asking the Dagestani to earn his title shot, Dvalishvili said, “Last and certainly least, we have Umar. And he has beat who? No one. But gifted Sandhagen. Also reminder guys, I was backup fighter for O’Malley vs. Vera, and when UFC asked Umar to be backup fighter for me and O’Malley, he said no. I mean this guy wants title shots served to his bed like a breakfast. Biggest lesson here, Umar, get to work. You’re not my level. Earn your title shot like rest of us, whose last names don’t get gifts.”
