The Kansas City Chiefs are 10-1 this season so far. Despite Patrick Mahomes saying that he loves to make a comeback, the truth is that the team is coming back in the final quarter and not in a positive way! Waiting for the final half to come back in the games can be risky, as we saw in the game against the Bills.
It’s true that the Chiefs are not as perfect as they want to be. For instance, the Chiefs’s defense is hitting a rough patch. Early in the season, they were nearly unstoppable, giving up just 17.6 points per game. But now? That number has jumped to 23.8 in their last four games. Therefore, it’s a worrying trend, especially since they’ve allowed 24 or more points three times recently, something that happened just once in their first eight weeks.
In addition to that, the narrow win over the Panthers (27-30) only fueled the frustration. That’s why they’re winning many games by only a few points. Hence, the locker room received a strong message from their coach, Andy Reid. The 66-year-old Reid said in a post-game presser, “We’ve got some things we need to clean up.” His frustration was evident, as he expects the best from every player on the roster. However, another Chiefs coach, DC Steve Spagnuolo, addressed the players in a slightly different tone. He added, “We just felt like we should’ve performed better. We’re happy we won.”

Spagnuolo said this after hearing Andy Reid’s locker room message. The message from the head coach was – “I don’t want to see anybody hanging their heads.” Well, Andy Reid is clear about what he wants from his team. Therefore, it’s high time for the Chiefs to perform their best.
It is also because many fans are frustrated with the team’s recent narrow-winning performance, as one user clearly claimed, “The #KansasCity #Chiefs will not win the Super Bowl this year. #TravisKelce is busy working that #TaylorSwift girl. He has lost a step. Sometimes #PatrickMahomes doesn’t look locked in. They’ve made upgrades at WR but they can’t bring it. They are one injury away from becoming a second-place team. This team can’t continue to ride their defense.” Yes, that’s true! The road to success isn’t as easy as it seems for the Arrowhead team, especially as they are coming off in the next game with two fresh injuries.
Trouble could come anytime for Andy Reid and his Chiefs!
The Chiefs have been escaping losses from narrow margins. However, Andy Reid’s team cannot escape the injuries that are troubling them. For instance, after winning over the Panthers, two major issues popped up for KC – the injuries to their key players.

The Chiefs confirmed on their official X account that linebacker Cam Jones and kicker Spencer Shrader didn’t practice on Tuesday due to their illness and hamstring issues, respectively. Not only that! According to the reporter, Pete Sweeney, “TE Peyton Hendershot (calf) has also been placed on injured reserve.”
So, now Andy Reid’s team is due to face off against the Raiders at 3:00 p.m. ET on Friday, November 29, all eyes will be set to see who wins this heated battle. Fans are expecting a strong comeback from the Chiefs this time!
