Few coaching positions in the CFB season have been as good as Arizona State’s Kenny Dillingham’s. Following consecutive 3-9 seasons, Dillingham has guided the Sun Devils to 9 victories in their opening 11 games. They hold the inside track to win the final automatic spot for the CFP and are ranked No. 14 in the AP Poll, which is their highest placement in 10 years. But off the field, the head coach has demonstrated a readiness to assume a position focused on the community in one of the fastest-growing areas in America. Chris Karpman of 247Sports provided a tale on Thursday night that emphasized that willingness.
A screenshot of Chris Karpman’s post was shared by Sports Illustrated on November 29. The caption read, “He gave the staffers his own bonus he earned 🤝🥹👏.” It’s not a joke to donate your own money to distribute among others. It requires both a big heart and a good individual. And ASU’s head coach possesses both. It brings great joy to CFB supporters around the country.

In addition, there is another twist in the news. According to Karpman, Dillingham promised the employees a sizable incentive but did not reveal that it was his. You can now see the kind of person that he is. What a wonderful human being. Being a coach and leading a team is a challenging job as a whole itself, and being that upbeat leader is even more demanding. For those who do not know, Dillingham was given a $200,000 incentive for winning nine games, which he then gave to 20 Arizona State off-field employees, according to Karpman’s post.
It’s evident that the ASU has a coach worthwhile keeping on board, at least on the surface, irrespective of how the remainder of the season plays out. As his choice to give the off-field employee a six-figure bonus truly won over the hearts of American CFB fans. The Thanksgiving gesture appears to be a prime example of sharing is caring.
