When the whole world turns against you, family’s always got your back. No one in this world loves you as much as your parents. They protect you, love you, care for you, and go to any lengths to do what’s best for you. As Drew Lock prepares to play as the starting QB for the Giants, here’s more about his parents, Andy and Laura, who have always had their loving son’s back.

Drew Lock was born to Andy and Laura Lock in Missouri. Andy works as a Regional Manager at McCormick & Schmick’s in Missouri. But not much information is there about the QB’s mom, Laura.

The 28-year-old got his athletic genes from his dad. Andy used to play football during his college years at the University of Missouri. He played as a defensive tackle until he suffered an injury during his senior year. Drew’s father had dreams of making it to the NFL, but sadly, the injury kept him from getting drafted.

Growing up, Drew was close to both his parents. The QB started playing football at an early age, often winning a bunch of trophies in high school. He played for Lee’s Summit High School, and after that, he went on to play for the Missouri Tigers, the football team at the University of Missouri. Throughout his football journey from school to the NFL, Drew’s parents have always been a strong support system for him.

Drew made his NFL debut in 2019 with the Broncos. After playing three seasons with them, he was signed by the Seahawks. Earlier this year, he signed a one-year deal with the New York Giants for $5 million. He was mainly serving as a backup QB to Daniel Jones this season until the Giants waived Jones.

Will Drew Lock be playing as the starting QB for the Giants?

The Giants’ messy management drama has been in the papers for some time now. They faced a lot of backlash after waiving their starting QB, Daniel Jones. After Jones was gone, they went with Tommy DeVito. However, he suffered an injury in his first game as starting QB against the Bucs, which they lost pretty badly (30-7). DeVito injured his right forearm and will undergo more medical examinations. Whether he can play or not is still unclear, but one thing’s for sure: Drew Lock will now play as the starting QB.

The Giants will be facing Jerry Jones’ Cowboys on Thanksgiving, and this will be Drew’s first game as the starting QB since 2023. The Cowboys have been a game-changer in their recent game against the Commanders. Their WR KaVontae Turpin has been all over the news after his 99-yard kickoff return touchdown. So, it’ll be a tough test for Lock to face a team that has the fastest guy in the NFL on their side.

Both teams don’t have much to lose at this point, but a rivalry is still a rivalry. Let’s see who comes out on top this Thanksgiving and who heads home bummed out.
