Father-son bonds are always special. After all, it is your father who teaches you how to take after him. Even celebrity drivers like Joey Logano are not devoid of this feeling and recently the proud dad took to Instagram to document his son Hudson’s practice runs. With the holiday season approaching and the off-season in blow, drivers are now getting ample time to spend with their near and dear ones. 

Among the drivers who have been always very vocal about their family life over social media is none other than Joey Logano. His son Hudson is surely on the same footprints and daddy and the six-year-old is often seen practicing his grip on the steering. As Logano uploaded the video, fans could not help but turn into critics and lightheartedly pointed out a flaw in his driving style.

Hudson is a sports champ right from his childhood days

The earlier you start your venture with a sport, the higher the chances that you will develop more in the sport. Hudson, Joey Logano’s six-year-old son, has been getting behind the steering wheel from his early childhood days and this enhances him as a driver and prepares him for his upcoming journey. 

Logano has often spoken about how Hudson, his eldest son, is a fan when it comes to all things cars. Given that his daddy is such a motorsport world favorite, it seems as though genes are working just in the right way. It is this fascination that has worked greatly in favor of Hudson and he practices his skills regularly. 

Recently Joey Logano took to Instagram sharing one such moment. The post included a video of Hudson racing and completing laps around the backyard in his four-wheeler. It read, “Huddy laying down some laps before Turkey Day”. One could see how much fun Hudson was having while he put in all his vigor and steered his car in a true racer style! Recently Logano was seen sharing how he felt about Hudson racing. In a recent interview with Kenny Wallace, Joey Logano got entangled in a heart-to-heart warm conversation about his true concerns. 

While this is indeed something to be proud of, Logano was seen expressing his worry about how he does not want people to set a standard for the little one. He said, “We raced out in Millbridge a couple of times and they introduced him as ‘Joey Logano’s kid, Hudson’… I didn’t have to go through that… I’m six years old, I’m having fun, that’s all it’s about. I don’t want it to be so serious already”. Logano’s sentiments reflect the delicate balance between nurturing a passion and preserving the innocence of childhood. However, fans certainly want to see Hudson race at the highest level and had some beginner advice for the 6-year-old.

Although Hudson is at a tender age, it seems as though the world of the internet is making Logano’s worst nightmare come true. One rule that every NASCAR fan is aware of till now is that the car always turns left. However, through the video, Hudson was seen turning to his right, which has invited quite some advice from the fan community. 

One fan took to the post and mentioned, “Gotta turn them around the other way”. This hinted at how the little driver constantly showcased his right turns. Keeping in mind the kind of vigor that Logano has shown on the tracks and his knowledge about driving being a 3 time NASCAR Cup Series Champion, a fan commented, “You can’t be the one teaching him with nothing but right turns 😂. Who did you bring in??!???”. 

Given the expectation will be for him to follow his daddy’s footprints, his constant right turns had people advising him to practice a few left turns as well. A comment read, “Get that boy turning left! ⬅️”. Another fan jokingly commented on the right turns and sarcastically said, “these are some weird left turns”. 

One fan jokingly questions if Hudson was aware of NASCAR rules, saying. “Does he know he’s going the wrong way 😂 jk.“ Although Hudson’s NASCAR career will continue to be his discretion, fans cannot help but pull Joey Logano’s leg as it is often witnessed in this domain that a son’s take on his father’s legacy. If Hudson plans to do the same, he will have to learn how to take left turns!
