It is the PGA Tour off-season, and pros finally have time to spend with their families. Many pros like Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler, and others became first-time fathers and will be looking forward to some precious time spent with their children. But Max Homa, who is the father of two-year-old Cam Homa, is not enjoying one particular thing about his schedule with his son.
It seems that every night it is now the duty of the 6-time PGA Tour winner to sing a lullaby to his son and help him sleep well. Even though he doesn’t want to. In a hilarious tweet posted on X, Homa shared his night routine and said, “My son has been asking me to sing to him every night before bed lately. I really wish I was tone deaf because I can hear every note that comes out of my mouth. It is awful.”
To clarify further, Homa does not wish to be tone-deaf. What he actually wants is to be deaf so that he cannot hear the terrible way he sings the ‘Wheels on the Bus’ to his son. He admitted while replying to a follower, “I can hear the tone; it’s just not the right one. Either way, I stink at singing.” So he wants to stop being a horrible singer, or at least not hear a word he sings.

Even though the 6-time PGA Tour winner may want to stop his part-time singing career, it may not happen anytime soon; his son loves his singing regardless of how tone-deaf he may sound. But once the off-season concludes, Homa will be back to travel from one place to another, and his wife may start singing better to their son. Will this come up soon, or the 34-year-old will wake up directly in 2025?

Max Homa’s off-season is to end before everyone else
After a disappointing run in the 2024 season and being winless on the PGA Tour, Max Homa played the ZOZO Championship as his last event finished T27, and didn’t tee up any other FedEx Cup Fall events. He was not in his best form to avoid these events but Homa will have to play next week. No, he will not be at the 2024 Hero World Challenge like last year.
The 6-time PGA Tour winner will be in Sun City, South Africa, to defend his title as the champion of the Nedbank Golf Challenge at the Gary Player Country Club. It was his maiden DP World Tour victory and second win for that season, as the first came at the PGA Tour’s Farmers Insurance Open. Although a 2-time winner in 2023, Homa has not been able to repeat the same success in the 2024 season.

He would surely hope that his luck works in his favor in Sun City and he wins the Nedbank Golf Challenge after a year-long drought. Or the PGA Tour star may not choose to tee up at the event and enjoy his time with his family, whether tone-deaf or not.
