0-8! That’s what Tua Tagovailoa’s win-loss record is in the game when the temperature is below 40°F. The Dolphins’ loss in the week 13 Thanksgiving matchup 17-30 against the Packers at Lambeau Field added more to this unfortunate record. Now, the HC Mike McDaniel is finding faults with his defense. Here’s what he said.
The head coach claimed that the Packers played a lot better and clean football than them. By that, he was referring to the penalties which laid the foundation for a victory. A muffed punt that set up the first touchdown for the Pack. The mistakes cost them heavily.

Mike McDaniel says the cold wasn’t as much of a factor in the missed tackles as just improper technique.
He said Packers played a lot cleaner of a game. McDaniel notes Miami’s penalties in that regard.

The Packers came into the game with an obvious strategy. Apply pressure on the visiting team from the get-go. They stopped the Phins from scoring, and the halftime score read 24-3. The Phins tried to make a comeback, but in vain as they lost the game 17-30 in the end. Mike McDaniel also understood the difference in defense of both teams. With this viewpoint, the head coach joined the stance of a veteran Phins player.
Having played in the league for more than 15 years, Dolphins Defensive Tackle Calais Campbell was quick to identify the problem. After the game, he said, “That’s the game right there. 20 missed tackles, it’s hard to win.” It’s right. In the highly competitive league, no team could expect a victory after missing 20 tackles.
But the hope is not lost in the locker room. They are still dreaming big.

Tua Tagovailoa and HC hope for a playoff seat for Phins!
Before the game, the Phins quarterback hoped for a win. But the Packers broke those dreams. Just like he came back from his concussion injuries, the signal caller wants to take them to the postseason.
After the game, while talking to the reporters, he said, “This one was a tough one for us as a team… I wouldn’t say the (playoff) dream’s dead for our team just yet, anything can happen in this league.” That’s great for the fans and players as well. Anything can happen if they want to qualify. Mike McDaniel will be hoping to correct their mistakes.

With 5 wins and 7 losses, the Phins are 2nd in the AFC East division and 9th in the conference. It will be a miracle if they got through. The HC and the QB are at the center of the spotlight. 5 more games to go in the season. The picture will be clear after that.
