In a recent appearance in the video podcast, Unleashed, Deegan made heads turn when she spoke about how she’s “getting older and into the more business side of the world.” She said that she doesn’t spend her time on social media apps anymore for entertainment purposes.

Talking more on the subject of social media consumption, Deegan said, “I don’t go on TikTok for fun. I keep it, like, mostly straight, like pretty much of what I need to do on there. And I’m like, I don’t want to go on TikTok or Instagram. I really don’t feel like it. […] I use it obviously as a platform to kind of show my life. But I really don’t care to, like, scroll through other people’s stuff.”

The Truck Series driver’s words may come as a surprise to many, given that she is a young athlete in a world where social media is all-pervasive. Additionally, apps such as TikTok, which has a brand value of USD 66 Billion as per statista.com, are essential tools for building one’s brand and engaging with fans.
However, Hailie is not one to follow the crowd. She has always been her own person and has never been afraid to speak her mind.

Hailie Deegan’s 12th-place finish in Atlanta was her best in her first season under ThorSport Racing. The 21-year-old is currently 21st in the Truck Series standings.
