During the off-season in gymnastics, Simone Biles has been pursuing different adventures. Whether it’s decorating her local store in Houston with the festive theme or watching her husband Jonathan Owens’s NFL game, she is taking full advantage of this break. This time, she has found herself with American rapper Snoop Dogg, with whom she will be partnering as a Playoff Advisor in the reality show NBC’s “The Voice.”
The pair won’t be meeting each other for the first time in their lives, as a few months ago they returned from Paris, where the rapper watched Biles get her newest set of Olympic medals. Furthermore, this surprising announcement and the gymnast’s dive into the entertainment industry have stunned many in the community, including fellow Team USA alpine ski racer Mikaela Shiffrin.

From conquering the sport in events like the Olympic Games and starring in shows like the Gold Over America Tour, Simone Biles will be present at NBC’s The Voice, owing to her mentorship role. According to NBC Olympics & Paralympics on X, she will be joining Snoop Dogg for an episode in the reality show, which will be aired to the audience on Monday. Surely, this is a great opportunity for the gymnast to have experience in the music industry.
Both of the two celebrities will be reuniting again after their endeavor in Paris for the Olympic Games, and the community is excited to see them as a duo, guiding five vocalists who will be vying for a spot in the live shows. The gymnast also gave her insight on this new adventure to the Associated Press, stating, “We’re both very mellow. But if we need to bring that energy up, then we can. For us, it was about instilling confidence going into the next week.”
Biles was confident with herself and her reality show partner, Snoop Dogg, after both of them finished their shoot in Los Angeles. She acknowledged the efforts that they both made as mentors to the vocalists and had that trust in them that they would be making it to the next round. Even though she isn’t much of a singer herself, by using the same motivation that she uses during her gymnastics events, she gave the required insights to contestants of the reality show.
“They all have the vocal talent. It’s about harnessing that, knowing when to bring it out and which songs to sing and which genre you fit in. And what you want your legacy to be. This is truly a special show as well as the judging. They don’t get to see the physical appearance first. It’s all off of ears, listening and putting their craft together as well,” Biles stated after going through the whole shoot of The Voice.

Since the singing competition is all about the voice of the participant, the gymnast appreciated the way the competition judges its contestants. She also guided the vocalists under her, emphasizing the importance of that package of staying self-motivated throughout the session. The American rapper also appreciated the presence of Biles, as even if they have had different types of careers, he acknowledged both of their journeys, which have been successful due to their mindset of keeping up with the dedication in whatever they do.
“She’s a performer. I’m a performer. We’ve performed under extreme conditions. We always do our best. But sometimes things happen behind closed doors that you don’t know about. So, we’re able to speak to those things and give them real reassurance,” said Snoop Dogg after he and Biles guided the vocalists throughout the shoot of the episode. Furthermore, it wasn’t only the American rapper who was all in to appreciate the presence of the Olympian in the reality show. The social media post carrying the announcement of her attending The Voice immediately caught the attention of many, and the fans rushed to the comment section.
