Boise State’s latest victory over Wyoming was less than convincing from all ends. But it came at such a point that it made an unprecedented sense. When all the Big 12 ring leaders, including Alabama, Colorado, and Ole Miss, were left back with a week 13 slump, the Broncos raised their stat in an unexpected comeback against the Cowboys. The rumors already suggested they are up for a bye and here it is. They moved to the No 11 in the latest CFP committee rankings. They shine brightly once again as the highest-ranked Group of 5 teams and fourth-highest conference leader and are in a perfect spot to steal a first-round bye. Well, if you still cast doubt on their potential to end with a smashing season, pay heed to Paul Finebaum’s takes.
Boise State continues to be at its best, with a slew of analysts seeing better days ahead for Spencer Danielson. CBS Sports put their verdict on the table, noting no Big 12 teams will be able to crack the top 4 unless Boise drops the ball or the ACC falters. Jerry Palm strongly made a case for their first-round bye. Adding to the hype, Paul Finebaum, SEC network analyst, shouted out for the excellent benchmark the Broncos have set up for themselves at the final stretch of the college football playoff.

When he was asked which team seemed to be in great shape among the top 12, Paul promptly cast his vote on the No. 11. ‘‘It’s pretty obvious, Boise State, they have a pretty impressive season. I mean, the idea that they could get a bye is pretty remarkable, looks like Brett Yormark is going to have to beat his chest a little louder to prop up his league at the Big 12,” the veteran analyst came clean.
The underrated Broncos have bagged their ticket to the MWC Championship game with their latest win in the bucket. But before that, they will welcome Oregon State for the final game of the regular season. While the game doesn’t change much for Boise State, given they are already slated for December 6’s blockbuster game night, it will allow Ashton Jeanty, the beating heart of the Broncos, to add more numbers to his resume, enhancing his rousing Heisman candidacy.

Ashton Jeanty does the unthinkable for Boise State
Ashton Jeanty has nothing short of a godsend to his team and to the entire nation as well, to please their football-freak sight. The junior didn’t know how and where to stop being incredible. You must have known that he’s already leading the Broncos in rushing yards, but do you know he has been named to rack up more yards after contact than any other player this season with a 20-yard margin? Well, if not, god bless your knowledge! You can find another reason to cheer for your favorite star.
Against Wyoming, he rushed for 169 yards and a score. Through 11 games in a season, he posted for a whopping 2062 yards. However, if he needs to sprint himself as a finalist in New York City, his team needs to keep delivering. While playing for a Mountain West team doesn’t add value to the strength of the schedule, Boise State still sits 12th in the nation, which sounds pretty much decent.

It’s undebatable that Jeanty isn’t the Heisman favorite over Travis Hunter, but how he’s playing the one-man army or the Boise State offense throughout speaks volumes. And there’s no harm in keeping fingers crossed, hoping for any miracle to lead on the team and its most remarkable workhorse!
