No one thought about that, not even in their wildest dreams. But here we are heading towards week 14 and with a little bit of playoff hopes for the Tide. But before that, there’s going to be a rivalry game between the Tide and the Tigers, and there will be chaos and drama all over the place.

Well, a segment of these dramas started when an Auburn player said something for Kalen DeBoer‘s boy, Ryan Williams, and Bama fans are not keeping calm with it. Recently, an Alabama fan posted a YouTube video about the same, which is getting crazy views. Matt, from his YouTube channel called Matt, Be Great, shared his thoughts on this incident.

“We’re gonna talk about something an Auburn football player said. Most importantly, though, he just called out Ryan Williams, bald strategy cotton. Let’s see how it pays off and people can say whatever they want about Alabama. I’ll be the first to tell you they’re not having the greatest season. It’s been extremely disappointing, but it’s not exactly a bright idea to call out arguably the greatest player on this Alabama football team.”

So the guy is Auburn’s freshman linebacker, Demarcus Riddick, who made some ridiculous comments about Ryan Williams while talking with the media. But before knowing the whole scene, be assured that this big bluff from the Auburn guy is getting heavily criticized all over the place as people are coming in support of Ryan Williams. He’s only 17 years old, and he has done wonders this season. As a freshman, Ryan has staked up 42 catches, 802 yards, and eight touchdowns. He’s doing fine. Just leave our guy alone, boy!

What did an Auburn player say about Ryan Williams?

So it started when Auburn’s DeMarcus Riddick could not hold his excitement ahead of Saturday’s Iron Bowl showdown against the Crimson Tide. But he went a little off the road when he aimed at the young wide receiver, Ryan Williams. “Ryan Williams ain’t no big-time player to me,” Riddick told the reporters. Has this boy gone nuts or something?

He even didn’t stop there and continued by saying, “I will not lose to Bama while I’m here.” At first glance, any Bama fan would get upset over it and see it as a challenge but only a few would know these guys had a history. Yeah, not something serious but it’s from the days when both of these guys were the top prospects in Alabama, where they grew up.

Riddick was ranked no. 6th overall player of Alabama while Williams was at no.2. But as we know Ryan’s history, he was already a star before coming to the Crimson Tide. 2 times being Mr. Football isn’t a joke after all. The rest is history, as Williams committed to Alabama and since then he’s made waves on and off the field.

So it looks like Riddick is stuck in their high school days and sees Williams as his competitor. Besides that, entering Saturday’s game, Auburn is an underdog, as believed by most of the analysts and experts. Let’s see what happens on this final stretch of the season.
