Well, given the current situation in college football, as it is all set to drop the curtains, “chaos” would be an understatement. The future of programs in the playoff race is more dependent on other programs than themselves. Not known about others, but Dabo Swinney’s Clemson Tigers are going to benefit from them. However, a lot depends on how Mario Cristobal’s Miami Hurricanes perform. So yes, that’s what Swinney and Co. are waiting for, a miracle that would turn a blind eye to their two losses this season. But what’s college football without roadblocks? As the Tigers might be aiming high, they stumbled with a grounding alert.
The Clemson Tigers have fought and clawed their way back from being completely washed off in their first game of the season to now boasting a 9-2 record. Their lowest point came with losing against Louisville Cardinals in their home game, almost putting an end to playing in the ACC championship. But now that they are back on track. All thanks to Arizona State who despite boasting a No.16 rank would not make the field of 12. On the David Pollack College Football podcast, the analyst started by raising a warning for Syracuse, “I’m sorry Syracuse you’re going to lose because Miami has won all of those because they are extremely blessed.” But how are Swinney’s boys going to benefit from the Hurricanes victory?
Pollack then draws attention to the interesting part, “If Miami loses, Clemson goes to the ACC Championship Game whether they win or lose.” So that’s how Cristobal’s army is going to make things tough for Swinney by scoring their win against Syracuse. Now let’s take a look at the chances of Miami getting a point. Well, even though the Hurricanes have a tough time when it comes to their defense as they got the lowest grade in the country, not to forget their rushing game that has the fifth highest pressure rate. But what will happen if Clemson’s Plan A fails? Not to worry folks, they have their plan B ready!

Another setback for Dabo Swinney’s championship push
In case, things turn left for Syracuse on Saturday in their ACC championship race, Swinney will have to open their other path. They will have to close all the doors for Shane Beamer’s South Carolina on Saturday, November 30 at Memorial Stadium. Well, that’s not going to be that easy for Swinney and Co. since the Gamecocks are running strong with a gaming streak of 8 wins. Plus, they have lost only three games that too against highly ranked programs- Alabama, Ole Miss, and LSU.
However, the Tigers would have still tried to turn things in their favor, had they not witnessed the latest mishap. Already, they are in a tough spot being the first team out of the College Football race. Now that they are on their way to their major in-state rivalry game, their offensive line has been a clear mess. And just at that moment, destiny handed them another blow.
The man who stole the show for Dabo Swinney’s army against The Citadel Bulldogs, their left tackle Trent Howard fell prey to a torn ACL injury. With this, he will be missing out on the rest of the season. Already, Howard was serving in place of Elyjah Thurmon, who too is down with a season-ending foot injury against Pittsburgh. That being said, for the Tigers, there’s a burning desire to see Mario Cristobal and his squad in tears.
