“Everything is a step behind right now,” Anthony Edwards confessed. You could feel the frustration in his words. The Sacramento Kings didn’t just win—they made sure to neutralize Edwards’ fiery 29-point effort and Julius Randle’s 21. The Wolves, despite their fight, fell 104-115 in a home-court blowout. Harsh? Definitely. But it’s Edwards’ brutally honest take that’s turning heads. So, what did the 23-year-old shooting guard spill?
The Minnesota Timberwolves star seems to be the only one truly buying into Chris Finch’s vision. The rest? All over the place. The Wolves are oddly haphazard on the court these days and their 8-10 record speaks the fact out loud. This lack of coordination is one of the primary reasons behind the TWolves’ downfall in the West.
Antman bluntly expressed in the locker room after the game: “We gotta start doing what the coaches say. We can’t always get something to say back. Or mean even if you have something to say back, I feel we just go out there and do our own sh**.” He claimed that instead of doing what the coach had planned out for them, everyone was doing something completely off the track. Edwards included himself in the ‘disobedient’ roster and added: “I’m supposed to be blocking and veering, I don’t veer like just a little stuff like that.”

“We’re just not doing it, and it comes from not following the game plan and listening to the coaches, man. I think that’s the main thing.” Edwards was seemingly upset with his team. Not only because of their defeat but because the players on the team aren’t working as per the plans. Even Wolves HC Chris Finch admitted his boys were “frantic” against the Rockets on Tuesday.
Sadly, it looks like Finch has lost his powers in the locker room, as his players aren’t abiding by the strategies. As a result, the Timberwolves are struggling with 4 consecutive losses, leaving them 12th in the Western Conference. Indeed, it’s tough times… tough times!

“I thought we were a bit too frantic into the game…Guys were just kind of breaking it off and going when they thought they had an opportunity.” Chris Finch told the media after losing to the Houston Rockets on Tuesday. (Not so) Surprisingly, the HC has observed how the Wolves go off the said plan and play their games. Chiming in with similar sentiments after a disappointing loss against the Kings, Anthony Edwards talked about the troubles they’re facing.
“I think doing whatever the f–k he told us to do. Like, that’s what I mean. The coach says one thing and we go out there and do a whole another thing,” the exhausted 23-year-old stated. “That’s not our game plan. Sh– is doing on defense, that’s not what the coach is telling us to do We’re supposed to be doing a totally different thing and we go out there and like try to manipulate in our mind, that we’re smarter than the coaches. And just- I don’t man, it’s crazy right now.”
Strangely enough, it looks like Antman’s peers want to look smarter or bolder on the court. But, is it working out? And, what does it even look like? Key players like the Frenchman Rudy Gobert are failing to perform. On Wednesday Donte DiVincenzo played for 25 minutes only to score 5 points. This has to be a joke! Only Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle are adding points to the chart at this point, teamwork has left the chat and plans are out of the window.

If this continues, then it’s safe to say, the Minnesota Timberwolves are out of the championship race. Moreover, it looks like they require someone like Karl-Anthony Towns, and well, you cannot deny his absence. The nightmare has to stop and soon, for Anthony Edwards & Co., only team play can do wonders for the waning Timberwolves.
