Malik Nabers has officially lost it. It’s not hard to imagine how Daniel Jones might have been feeling with the organization. The 27-20 game might not have ended on a disappointing note for the New York Giants if Malik Nabers hadn’t dropped the ball at that crucial third and 9 play that ended on the first drive. Despite that, the WR still maintains a patronizing attitude.

Nabers spoke to the media and channeled his inner pass hog saying he wants the pigskin all the time. But will any quarterback throw him the ball if he supposedly messes up plays? That’s what he’s expecting his signal caller to do. The former LSU receiver’s attitude might end up dividing the locker room someday.

Malik Nabers acting a bit selfish

Dan Duggan of The Athletic reported Malik Nabers saying, “I don’t care about drops. I mean, it’s just part of football. I don’t care if I drop the ball six times. Keep throwing me the ball.” Mind you, this is coming from a receiver who was targeted 13 times caught 8 of those targets over 69 yards, and remained scoreless throughout the game.

Yeah, Nabers’ response in the post game comes off as a bit pompous. But it isn’t all that bad, because when the Giants played the Cowboys in week 4, Malik Nabers became the first player in NFL history to have at least 25 receptions and three touchdowns in his first four games. So, he has a very high potential. However, he exited that week 4 game with a concussion late in the fourth quarter.

Is Malik Nabers' attitude a sign of confidence or a recipe for locker room disaster?

At the same time, Nabers made a jaw-dropping catch with 2:23 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Thanksgiving game. That play set up Drew Lock’s 8-year rushing TD but wasn’t enough to win the game. The taste of the Turkey that the Giants players will eat today might feel a little dry. Especially after they failed to stick to their commitments and lost.

Brian Daboll’s unstable decisions

DeVito was sacked 4 times in the last game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and on one of those sacks, he suffered a forearm injury. Hence Daboll decided to bench the player who brought some “spark” to the franchise. Things got embarrassing for the Giants with each passing game and every L they took. So, it was time for Drew Lock to change Daboll’s mind about his team.

Lock completed 21 of his 32 passes over 178 yards but threw a pick six in the start of the second quarter, which set up the Cowboys for the win. He threw the ball and it landed in the hands of DeMarvion Overshown, who returned it to the end zone, giving his team a 13-7 lead.

However, this was Lock’s first game as a starter this season. Obviously, we can’t expect him to be perfect from the get-go. “This is one of my first times to be able to come in and play a full game with these guys and show them what I can do,” Lock said. “Minus the turnovers and a few things, it was up and down. Some good. Some bad.” This being Lock’s first game of the season might give Daboll some benefit of the doubt, but the fans’ patience is running thin.

Daboll expressed faith in his quarterbacks at an earlier point in time and fans wanted him to look for a new quarterback, but he didn’t budge. Looks like Daboll and his crew will be doing some off-season shopping next year. If he retains his job, that is.
