In less than a day, Kendrick Lamar has everyone and Studio J chanting, “MUSTAAAAAAAAAARD!” The TNT Crew collectively showed where their loyalties lie when they kicked off Inside the NBA‘s Tip-Off show with an exquisite blend of Chuck GIFs and the “Mustard” chant after the LA-born and bred rapper dropped that track. Lamar, a favorite of TNT’s resident rap god, Shaquille O’Neal, is showing he’s unbothered with his opponent’s newest move – a brow-raising lawsuit. And the Inside Guys found fodder to run with it.
Inside the NBA went from the Suns-Lakers halftime to the studio to the track of Kendrick Lamar’s “TV Off,” a very appropriate backtrack to Kevin Durant and LeBron James’ back and forth dunks. And it spurred Shaq to start the “Mustard” chant.
However, Jalen Rose, while filling in for Kenny “The Jet” Smith took a sly dig at the situation unfolding in the backdrop of Lamar’s latest release. “I don’t know if y’all should be playing that Kendrick. Y’all gonna get a lawsuit up here.” Lamar suing his buddies at TNT? Not happening. But there is some legal business going down though.

The Kendrick Lamar-Drake feud took a wild turn when the latter filed a lawsuit. Drake is suing Universal Music and Spotify for allegedly inflating the “Not Like Us” mania, the viral diss track targeting Drake. He also alleged that the labels were suppressing his music to boost Lamar. The lawsuit instantly became an online joke that spilled over to TNT.

When Rose took that jab. Ernie “The Godfather” Johnson stated, “Lawsuits don’t scare us around here.” That’s why Shaq is cosy chanting “Mustaaaaard” every two seconds. He even asked Charles Barkley, “What do you like on your hotdog?… Mustaaaaard.” This is never getting old.
Kendrick Lamar creates a buzzword at TNT
No Kendrick Lamar isn’t on some condiment endorsement. This new manic comes a week after DJ Mustard, who produced “Not Like Us,” switched up Drake’s track with Lamar’s in a set. K.Dot’s “TV Off” from his surprise album GNX released and him roaring DJ Mustard’s name midway became an instant hit. The man who got the viral shoutout is getting the exact ‘Mustard’ calls everywhere. While it will eventually get tiring, the producer called Lamar’s move, “Elite.”

DJ Mustard will probably have to listen to DJ Diesel’s mustard jokes for a while now. Previously Shaquille O’Neal was neutral on the beef, though he was subtly leaning to Lamar’s side. Now K.Dot has hin hooked.
The brief but insane jab at Drake and his lawsuit left fans in stitches. They were online either extending the joke or ‘mourning’ that Drake would sue the NBA on TNT crew next. Either way, Drake is not coming out of this looking very great.
